Mommy and Daddy took so many pictures of me this week! It was so much fun! I even smiled at Mommy and Daddy this week whenever they came by. They seemed to really like that! And the best part, I finally got to hang out with Maria, Monica, and Bassem. They came over the other night. Maria is about 3 months older than me. I cant wait until I am big enough to play with her! What a fun night - I finally met Uncle Dave, Cousins Katie, Peter, and Jack over at Uncle Timmys house. We got to celebrate Broghans birthday and had a wonderful time. Sunday was a big day for me. I was blessed with a traditional bath and blessing given by four of our priests. We were so lucky to have all the grandparents in attendance along with Uncle Timmy, Uncle Mark, and Aunt Christine along with Cousins Broghan and Bailey! I am two weeks old now and have had so many vistors! I finally got to meet Auntie Elizabeth and Cousins Jaime, Leila, and Caleb. On our way home from the hospital we stopped by our priests house and found five of them there and received their blessings. How lucky were we?! We then arrived at home to find Carol and Vicky home making us enough food to last a month - thank you! Sally, Marc, and Baby Soliman came to visit - we can’t wait to meet you! And our first bath to top it all off - what an exciting week!

While in the hospital we got so many visitors to visit me - the newest little Fanikos - and of course the first ones were the grandparents. Nana, Tatah, and Guidu. Auntie Christine, Auntie Vivian, and Uncle Mark were soon to follow with Phoebe, Rose, and Brent. Uncle Timmy, Cousin Broghan, and Cousin Bailey. Cousin John, Cousin Steven, and Cousin Greg. Carol and Vicky surprised us from New Jersey. Nancy, Waseem, Gabrielle, Ramy, MerMer, Abanoub came after. Taunte Aida, Taunte Mona, and Taunte Mona all came. Hi Everyone!!
The big day finally happened!!! At 6:14 A.M., on Wednesday, August 23, 2006…The newest little Faneeklet entered the world! Jonathan Daniel Fanikos was born at 7 lbs. 6 oz. and just over 19 1/2 inches long!!! Laurice and Baby are doing VERY well and all are healthy and happy!
Thank you all for all the text messages, calls, and well wishes!!! They have really meant a lot to us and have added to the excitement of the event! We can’t wait to bring the little guy home!!!
